Laura A. Anderson is an award winning Scottish writer and actor.
Laura loves to tell stories about diverse and complex characters. Having already created thrill seeking eggs, retired burglars, reluctant vampires and Victorian feminists, she’s ready for her next challenge.
After gaining a Screenwriting Masters from Screen Academy Scotland, Laura won a much coveted place on the flagship She Writes scheme from Script Factory and Birds Eye View, and won a place at Talent Lab at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016. Her credits include the feature film ‘I Am Anna’ (co-screenwriter), short films ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ and ‘We All Fall Down’, sketches for BAFTA award-winning series 3 of CBBC show OOglies, and an episode of webseries ‘Cops and Monsters’. She is developing a range of features, including comedies ‘The Hen Do’ and ‘Better Wed Than Dead’.
Laura recently started working as an actor, which has injected new depth into her dialogue and given her a passion for creating interesting female characters.
She works as a fiction writer, and read one of her short stories at Story Shop 2016 at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Laura also works as a journalist, filmmaker, and writer for different mediums.
