A lot has gone on since my last blog post, so I figured it would be good to do a vague review of my year as a little catch up. Mind you, with the way 2016 has gone so far the world may end before anyone reads this (we have about 5 hours left), but never mind. To the review!
It’s been a funny old month so far.
I never wanted this blog to be something that I only update when I’m quiet, but that’s exactly what I’ve done this summer.
As I uploaded the images for this month’s writing review, I realised that it’s been a whole year since I started this blog. It’s very strange how much has changed in that time.
June turned out to be a really busy month, mostly taken up by the Edinburgh International Film Festival but also a fair amount of freelance work.
May. A month with bouts of sunshine, of eating (mostly) healthy food, of seeing lots of friends, of undergoing a minor crisis of confidence, and of ultimately hoping that this believing in my own writing lark will pay off one day.
A few weeks ago I signed up for a great new scheme, which officially launched to the public yesterday.
Once again I shake my fist at time. April felt slow but somehow went quickly, the days melting in to each other.
Alright, I don’t want to say this every month but March was definitely too fast, yes? I mean, it was just December. Come on, time, you cruel beast.
February has been another quick month, and a good one in both research and writing terms.
